Hello,
I am trying to figure out what might be different from a 95 KA24DE s14 ecu and a 96. I own a 95, but bought a Megasquirt DIYPNP ecu from a 96, was able to hook up to it via AC power plug with my laptop, load default KA24DE base tune and such, but when I hooked it to my car, I was no longer able to connect via laptop, and the car would not start. I hooked up old ECU, worked just fine. Is there anything different from the 96 ECU's that would make it not work on my 95?

Thanks

Thanks a s*** ton to Kfred from the KA-T.org forum for helping me figure out the main issue. Turned out to be the EGI fuse in the bay. The backup power was enough to run the stock ECU all this time, and turns out I didnt even have an EGI fuse the whole time I owned the car.

Long, several hour story short, the ECU fire up now, and I am able to connect via laptop and view everything, but wont fire up just yet. That is something for another day though. I will work on that tomorrow.

Thanks again man!

I will keep this thread open in case anyone else has a similar issue.
