diff welds?

Hey i have a diff thats a spare from my s13, jw if anyone has any info,steps, or pics on how to properly do it?... Ive heard sometimes people put a steel piece in there to enhance the durability of it to last longer?...let me know , Thanks!

use a peice of 1/4 inch steel that fits about snug between the spider gears, tack it on, flip the gears, repeat.

then manke sure you are using a welder that is hot enough (means dont use a 110) and get nice deep welds all the way around, be generous. and good luck.
