what is the difference in ecu 98 and ecu 78? After swap, car ran for a couple of minutes. I tried to start it the next day and it won't even try to fire. No signal to the injectors. I think I might have fried my ecu. (doesn't smell like it but I can always hope). I found one but the code is 78 not 98. A boost up ECU for $125 is reasonable, right. Any input is greatly appreciated. I read in the archives that auto trans. ecu's suck in manual cars. THis is the reason why I ask.

You're asking about the ecu i'm selling you. An auto transmission ecu is code 79 or 99. I think the only difference between 78 and 98 is 98 was used from mid-89 to early 91?
