I hit a huge pothole Saturday night. Didn't notice anything immediately (thought maybe alignment was off but I hoped it was my head). Tire light came on this morning and PSI was at 26. I went ahead and filled it back up but pressure dropped back to 26. Popped the rim off and sure enough, it was dented.

So I'm wondering if the damage can be repaired? It's a forged Nismo rim. Where do I take it ... dealer?

Also, anyone had any luck petitioning the city for cost of repairs, alignment, etc.? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the offer ... I ended up finding a few places local and dropped it off today at one today. Quote was for about $125 with full warranty. I should be able to pick it up Wednesday then it's time for an alignment.

Well ... it's back. $149 after mount/balance/tax/etc.. They even threw in some free damage

Since they were just doing a backside repair, that's what I inspected when I picked it up. I gave the front a glance, but not thorough enough. It wasn't until I got home and was cleaning the rim I noticed all this:

Looks like they dropped it or tried to train a chimp to mount tires. I haven't bothered calling and yelling or anything because I don't think it would do any good. I signed for the wheel and drove off on it (now it makes since why they offered to put it back on the car for me -- I thought to myself how great the service was, but it was probably just so I wouldn't see the damage).

Oh well, live and learn. And if you dent a rim in Dallas, give someone other than Wheel Technologies a call.

Ouch! Thats rough man. I have a small scuff on one of mine and it kills me. Your dent scares me... was that pothole deep? (its hard to tell from pic). I hope so because I went with these partly because of the strenght of forged wheels.

btw if you don't feel like bringing your rim to the shop to get the scuff fixed the precision grey touch up paint is pretty close to the rim color. If its a small scuff give it a little touch up and you wont notice from a distance.
