yea thats my plan, so far i have a t3/t04e turbo from XS, a walbro 255 f/p and a custom manifold. im waiting on an fmu and i still need to get a wastegate, bov, and manual boost controller, and oil lines. im getting the IC from a junkyard hopefully this week. i should be done with the project by the end of this year, if not sooner. i cant wait.

Didn't daniel score the 50 trim with .63 ar turbine? If so that's a good one to look for :) the 60 trim is nice too for higher boost.

I'm not highjacking or anything, but I'm wondering if there are comparable turbines from car manufacturers to that of the T3/T04E. Also, what's the difference between the T3/T04E and the t3/t4 turbines. Is just that I see a lot of t3/t4 in ebay for real cheap. I'm also trying to do a "custom" setup and am wondering if the following units would be good for say...240~250hp?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...73954

I think these are the specs for that particular car T5-R 20V 5cyl 2.3L

1996 850 R

Intercooler

186 kW 5,400

240 hp

330Man, 300Auto, 2400

242 ft.Ib

8.5:1

9.6 psi 10.9 overboost

LH Motronic 4.3

0-100 km/h 7.4 sec Man

**ON a side note..Research your intercoolers more throughoutly. I've read that an oversized ic will only hurt you if you are not pushing enough air through it. (correct me if wrong.)

T3/T04B and T3/T04E are the 2 versions of a T3/T4 turbo.I think that turbo from the Volvo is on the small side, but may work for you (240 hp max). I dont know much about Mitsubishi turbos, maybe some DSM guys could give you some help.

is this with or without an fmu? Is this just 370's, a fuel control device (emanage or s-afc), and a walbro?

BTW I'm convinced a small 16g off a dsm would absolutely ROCK on a KA24. I'm almost tempted to get a mitsu flange with my jgs manifold and get either the small 16g or 18g (more likely, I think it's matched better).

Maybe you should try the starter kit at Realnissan.com Its only 1900 and everything that you need to get you started, and it includes that manifold that has the flange that lets you upgrade to external wastegate later on.

Not to hijack the thread, but....Why does everyone change to colder plugs? I know the concept behind it, but my Bosch Platinum +4's have seen about 1000 miles of boost and look perfect, just like they did before I turbocharged it...And my timing is the same as stock---never pings at 9 psi, I run it with 94 octane and have alc injection though....

i switched just cuz i from what everyone says. my 5 heat range's were fine when i pulled them thinkin about it. the main problem was that they were gapped top far. something like .044. oncei put in the 6's at .035 everything was fine

The Bosch's are platinum, so they don't need gap adjustment. I'm not running an upgraded fuel pump, and I've never had a fuel delivery issue...i'm actually running a bit rich (better safe than sorry).

As I said...she runs well...just some backfiring

PS--The new ACT clutch/Fidanza flywheel kick ***---they made a damn big difference!

you should probably always check the gaps, even on pregapped plugs, cause often times they are off, or they can fall in the truck or whatever and get off.its not a bad idea, doesn't take too much time...
