Dealerships....ARRRRRRG!

When I still had my G, my salesman told me that they were going to open a 2nd dealership but would keep that original one open. Liar liar pants on fire!

They closed up the dealership where I had bought my car. Now the only Infiniti dealership in Memphis is completely on the other side of town from me.

I ran into this when I was trying to negotiate the deal on my G, here in AR there is only one Infiniti dealership. I found out this makes them very hard to talk down on a deal, because they know they are the only game in town. I considered going out of state, with the nearest being Memphis... Well guess what? The same people own the dealership in Memphis, so it would have been a huge waste of time. short of that the nearest dealership with any kind of stock is Dallas, about 6 hours away.

I'm in Little Rock, about 2 miles from the Infiniti dealer. Unfortunately for me they are moving next month... It will then be about 5 miles away. Not too bad but it's pretty convenient where it is now.

And I lived in Memphis for a couple of years after college. It might not be the best thing they are so close to me actually, I have always been a Nissan fanatic, so it doesn't help that the closest car dealership to me sells infiniti. Right now though I have 2 of them and won't be getting any more for at least a couple of years. We have exactly the cars we want at the price we can afford, so unless we get huge raises over the next couple of years I think we will stick with what we have. I can imagine after a few more years and if we make a lot more money the G might be traded for an M, and the EX might be traded for an FX, but who knows.

My Z will probably be traded for a more loaded Z! I'm probably a lot older than you. I need to focus more on paying off my house and retirement.

Thank God my body is holding up fairly well. I exercise, try to eat right and keep lots of alcohol coursing through my veins. Don't want anything building up in them.

That's a ballsy move. I've seen some shenanigans from other dealers but that's a pretty good one. I wonder if it ever works?

Does the coupon mention anything about restrictions that apply?
