Hey guys, im currently looking at a 07 black 350z, touring. the only feature i can see its missing is the GPS and no rims. its got the heated seats and all the rest of the goodies.

its got 7400 miles on it. and there willing to take $24,300 at there lowest price.

Is it worth it? after i worked out the entire price to import it back to canada it will be running me about $29,000 canadian. - $2100 if i go fly and drive it back.

then i dont like the hood look, and the front bumper and rear bumper hah. so a ground effects kit and some rims yet. also i cant find any 07 custom hoods anywhere.. do they exist??

What all needs to be changed in canada? speedometer, daytime running lights and tether strap that all??

would i be better off going for a used older year that already has rims ground effects and around 35k miles? they still run around $18-$21k

Thanks.

Hm, 24,300 that's a pretty good price, the blue book value for what the dealer would ask for it is around 32,00. If you sold it privately you should get 28,000 for it... So for the dealer to go down to 24300. I think that's a good price.

The hood is raised like that because the HR motor has an increased plenum size. I haven't seen a tasteful aftermarket hood yet for the 07 HR 350Z. You will need to wire your car for daytime running lights. Search the forum for that, because I know it was discussed earlier on how to do it. I wouldn't worry about the Speedo, it has the Km/h equivalent on there already... but I guess that's up to you. I don't think you need to change it as required by canadian law or anything.

I'm not sure what you mean by tether strap.

If you want to spend more money on mods then get a older used car and spend the money you saved on mods. I like the HR motor though it's punchy, and the 07 interior is a little bit better than the older cars..

good luck

Make sure you find out where he got it and any work done on it. I hope you have seen and drove this car before you make the decision. That price seems awfully cheap for a brand new car with only 7400 miles. I cant find anything close to that with that kind of mileage. And I dont know a dealer in the US that is willing to eat sh*t on a car deal. So in my opinion it sounds a bit risky. But it is under warranty if that person did not make anyadjustments to the car. Good luck let us know what you come out with.

I have been looking for over a month now and ive actually found a few 07's around this price i know what you mean though. i told the dealer i wanted more pics cause im going to be flying 2 of us down there 2 get the car. he said it was lady driven and she didnt want it anymore so she did a trade in.

the other 07 had 13k miles on it for 24,500 but 3 days later it sold on me. that dealer sounded like a scammer.

this dealer is seeming impossible to get ahold of. i hope i dont get ripped.. upgrading from a honda civic ive had for almost 10 years hah ive never test drove one iether.

Is the price in Canadian or USD. Sounds like a good price. I would get it and drive it back.

thats in USD but right now we are both even pretty much..

edit: oh ya its location is pretty much the farthest point away from me so i need to drive like 6500 kms to get home thats going to be a rough trip plus putting all those kms on it :/ to get it delivered they want $2100 i thought ill do some sight seeing on the way home.

also when the border says they need 72 hours notice. can i be late and be like 85 hours or how does that work.. can i be early? can i be late? should i call right now.. even if i was leaving in a week.

edit: oh ya about the warranty canada will still validate it right? he said its got bumper to bumper till 60k kms and 100k kms till 2012.

Where is the car located at? Couldn't you find one closer. It might save you some money to find a closer one and spend a little more.

My warranty book says in the US I dont know if that means Canada, check and then double check again, that is important. And as far as driving it home. I am sure what you are paying for a flight and gas it can be shipped back to you plus you dont have to put the extra miles on it. Definately more pics and a service record for proof on the car. Oil shopuld have been changed 2 times And call the dealership with the VIN and check to see if it was brought in for anything "mysteriously". Remember just cause it is under warranty doesnt mean that if someone else messed it up it wont be a headache for you to get repaired.

I got air miles so the flights will be free pretty much. just taxes. but ya putting on alot of miles. Ive looked all over and cant find anything around my area this cheap.

I called nissan USA they said the warranty is fine in canada and is transferable. BUT if you resell the car within 6 months the warranty is no longer valid..

stuck on what to do now. ive found 2 decent deals. 1st one is an 07 7400 miles touring $24,300 with duty gst import fees i would be at about $28,500 bumper to bumper warranty.duty about $1800 Gst about $1500

the other one is

58,700 miles 2003 touring $16,000 private. no warranty 3 drivers. total in the end with gst and duty is about $18,500duty about $850 gst about $750.

both would be about 40-45 hours driving to get home HAHA. im going to fly down with a buddy and get one of them.

in the end no matter which one i buy i will need to put about $4,000 into rims and body kit.

i live up where its cold like today its -15 so 2003 doesnt have traction control iether. ive read 2003 have problems where ive yet to find any with 2007.

what sites do you guys use to look up 350z? ive used automotive.com autotrader.com and motors.ebay.com the cheapest 350z listed in canada right now is $23,000. iether way i should be safe with what i buy.

what would you guys go with? i dont have insane amounts to blow.. which will lose its value faster? does the 2007 have many more features then the 2003? the 2007 dealer said they priced it lower then anyone so that they can get rid of it since they arent a nissan dealer. the 2003 the guy said he has 2 kids and 2 suv's and wants to get rid of it cause the wifey is nagging.

Well if you go the 03 you could use the rest of the money to mod it up with pretty much everything, body kit rims or a Twin turbo kit. If you got the 07 (which is a pretty sweet price) you wouldn't be able to modify it right away..right? I like the 07s a bit better... they handle better, have dual xenon, the interior is a bit better quality... but if u wanna modify it outright then maybe an 03 is better for you
