Damn, it's been forever since I've posted. My old computer crashed, and I just set up the new one. Since then, the transmission on my 240sx has just plain crapped out. One morning I went to drive it, and I saw a big leak under the car, and the clutch pedal lost all pressure. If I wanna fix it, I'm gonna have to tow it, and I have absolutely no money, since I just bought my civic a new exhaust after my apexi n1 got ****ed up in a car wash (HKS super drager in the mail), not to mention a new pair of rear lower control arms and some body work. This couldn't have happened at a worst time, more than half the money I saved for my Sr swap just went down the drain because of this. And my tanabe shocks just came in the mail like a week ago. So, do you guys think I should get the 240sx fixed when I have the money, or just save up for the Sr all over again and drive my civic till then?

I did get it fixed, a muffler shop hammered it out a while ago, but like a week ago, on my way to school, I hit a really deep pot hole, which hit the piping in the same spot that was hammered out, and broke it completely, luckily, I got the money I paid the muffler shop to fix it back. The gas station never agreed to fix it, they just gave me some b.s. about not being responsible for anything that happens to your car, and the cost and hassle of taking them to court would probably be more than the exhaust is worth, ya know? but thanks for you opinion!

i agree with slw240, even though a slave or master arent all that expensive, i just bought a rebuilt master for 20 bucks at autozone. i would imagine a slave is even cheaper. check it all out though. i went through replacing the master only to find that the fitting between the hardline and the rubber line to the slave wasnt tightened and was leaking. could just be a matter of wrenching it back down. either way, good luck.

Yep, sounds like the slave cylinder went. takes about 5 minutes to change and 20 seconds to bleed it(with the help of a friend) Plus the part is dirt cheap.

yeah, that would probably explain why the reservoir is empty then........ you guys will have to forgive my ignorance, this is the first time I've ever dealt with a manual transmission. But this is exactly why I'm glad I'm a member here.........
