Does anyone have any experience with this product they could share?Knightro2 wrote:Yup, you just have to get an aftermarket kit.http://www.daytime-running-lights.com/
DRL's shouldn't affect battery life. The battery does nothing when the car is running. The alternator provides the electrical power when the car is running.DrivingHabit wrote:My opinion is that day time running lights is just a waste of battery life but saves lives.
in most states it's illegal to supplement head light use with fog lights. and even then, your tails still aren't lit so its unsafe. that is one of the biggest pet-pev's(sp) i have is bad drivers. and people that don't use head lights when they're supposed to.xtwoonamatchx wrote:yeah man, i agree... especially with todays crappy weather, i was going down 24 (2 lane highway) and someone came up behind me with no headlights on, and its amazing how much you dont notice them, especially oncoming traffic. but you think state troopers will complain if i use fog lights instead of headlights?
I agree with you completely on this point. My wife has a Malibu and it's got auto lighting too, so it's very easy to forget turning lights on at night. This is partly compounded by the fact that we have a Cdn-spec car with DRL.srellim234 wrote:Our biggest problem with the Versa as far as lights go is their lousy idea to always have the instrument panel lights on. It's very easy to get into the Versa in a brightly lit area at night and not realize that the headlights aren't on because the panel is lit up. In our case it's compounded by the complacency our Buick has given us for over five years with it's automatic headlights that come on when it's dark enough, just in case you do forget to turn them on.
Still forget to turn the headlights on some nights because of that (the more things that are automatically done for you in one vehicle the more you forget to do it in another).srellim234 wrote:
