Dash lights on when new stereo installed

I had an in dash CD installed today and I've noticed the dash lights and power windows lights are on all the time. Even when I turned off the engine and removed the keys from ignition, the lights are still on. It's late now but will check again tomorrow.

Any ideas what went wrong? Short circuit perhaps?

Take it back to the installer. Sounds like someone cut into the illumination wires and maybe hooked up the 'always on' 12V wire which is used for memory. Bad install.
