Hello everyone. Just wanted to mention that there is a place on ebay that this ebayer claims to have the dash kit and a wiring harness, and said that the antenna adapter should be in this week. Anyone see this on Ebay yet??? Or know anything about it?? here's the title: METRA 99-7603 NISSAN VERSA 2007 07 RADIO INSTALL KIT

Yes, this is the correct part number and the antenna adapter is also available so they might just be out of them. I saw the company at the SEMA Show and talked with them and this is the part numbers they gave to me and were getting them ready to ship.I'm adding a picture of the side molding and smoked tail lights that will be available.

Attachments are down. You will have to load the image on a 3rd party site like photobucket and link it inside the message.

I'd be happy if I could get a dash kit for my double din radio. It's in there sort of hokey right now.

If it's a true double din you have, you should be able to use the stock brackets to mount the radio. The holes should be drilled in the same pattern on the HU itself. It also should come with a trim ring that snaps around the radio to fill in any gaps. My installer forgot to put in the trim ring, but there's no huge gaps though. When I back home, I'll install the trim ring.

My installer couldn't find one either around town. He says that some adapters were being produced and shipped to them, but they haven't received them yet. Apparently they have a hard time trying to get them too.

I didn't even look at the old radio. I'll have to do that tonight when I get home and see if there are any mounting brackets on there.

I got my Versa in September and there was NOTHING available at the time...so the shop used plumbers tape to put in the radio. Like I said before....hokey.

Hey guys

I found a semi solution for our antenna problems.(Worked for me no guarantees style)

I purchased a subaru adapter for my V. After receving it I was sure it wouldnt work. It had the right connection in the wrong molded plastic connector. After a little try and try agin I did manage to install my FM mod for my Sirius Sattelite Tuner.

Started by removing the dash and radio (blatently obvious).

The antenna adapter is the grey one BUT it also has the ground connection in it.

I carefully removed the metal portion that looks like a square CATV connection.(wish i had taken some photos)

To do this i removed the small portion of the grey plastc clip and cut the holding device(small piece of plastic molded to the large grey portion kinda looks like a slotwith the plastic pushed back)

To cut it i carefully use a razor knife without knicking any of the cables in the connector. Then firmly pull the antenna cable back until the connector completely exposed.

Should be coming to light for all the techies now but ill continue none the less.

Same procedure for removing the connection from the newly purchased subaru adapters. Now time to start piecing back together.

Simply slip the newly purchased and stripped subaru CATV looking connector into your stock radio harness plastic connector and reinsert the small grey piece you probably lost on the carpet by now.

Take the plastic mold from the subaru connection and insert the bare connector from your stock radio harness. You may need to tape this in to be sure it stays put because the adapters i got didnt have the aditional plastic clip. Now plug in the male antenna portion and BAM! we have HOWARD!!

Good luck to you all!

Took me about 15 minutes to do myself and id say its a decent install for us that arent patient enough to wait for some after market part producer to get there stuff together!!

And an antenna and that should be it (that is if the antenna didn't come with the tuner kit). Starting from the back, the antenna will plug into the satellite tuner box. There will be a cable that runs from that tuner that plugs in the back of the head unit. After that, get everything wired up with the head unit and you're done. You'll need to worry about an antenna adapter only if you're concerned about regular radio. Me, I haven't listen to FM or AM in 4 years, so I didn't bother with the antenna.

Wow. Hopefully you didn't pay much for that job. If you look at the stock radio, there will be those silver brackets. They have a R and L label on them so you know which side they go on. The same exact holes should be drilled into the head unit. In my case, there was only 1 hole on each side that didn't line up correctly. It was off but a mm or so. I ended up only attaching 3 screws to mount the brackets to the side of the case. The radio will still be sturdy with only 3 screws. After that, screw the brackets back into the dash and the radio will mount just like stock.

I have my antenna sitting in the far left hand corner of my dash. The installer didn't want to waste time removing panels all the way to the back of the car to hide the antenna cable. I may move the antenna to the outside one day, but I haven't had any problems with it inside yet.

The tuner/receiver was installed under the dash on the drivers side. If you look under there, you'll see a whole empty cavity where you can mount the tuner/receiver. If you have an aftermarket alarm installed, there's a good chance that it will be installed in this area also.

From there, you can run the cable from the tuner/receiver to the head unit area. The area below the head unit is pretty open. I found this out when I dropped a small screwdriver down there only for it to end up on the floor on the passenger side. After this part, you only need to wire up the head unit to the harness. I'll have to wait until I get back home in a week to check out what was wired to what.

I contacted the manufacture about the kits and I was told that the Wiring Kit and Antenna Kit are now on backorder but will be available mid January to no later then end of January.

I also installed the XM kit from the factory myself and easy to do even with out the instructions and the Sirius kit is the same (behind driver side rear tail light) I have an SL model so wiring is already there.

Hope this helps AND HAPPY NEW YEAR fellow Versaites!

Okay guys. There is a dash kit for the radio for a single din or double din on Ebay. You can have them to include the wiring harness for about $12.00 bucks. I already have mine installed. And it works perfect. They said that they can get the antenna kit, but its on backorder right now(Just like everybody else). So for now, I'm using my plug and play Sirius radio which works great. Good thing about the wiring harness is that you won't loose your tweeters. Still using my factory speakers. I installed a 12 inch sub and amp combo.

Anyone who ultimately ordered the 70-7552, is the blue/white wire supposed to be connected to the blu/white wire coming out of my aftermarket radio? Isn't blue/white generally for amplifiers, and the versa doesnt have an external one... so I don't get why its there.

Holy bump, batman.

But yes, that is how it is supposed to be wired. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but it has to do with the funky way that Nissan wired the antenna in the Versa.

The simplest way to put it is that if you DON'T hook it up, it won't work correctly.

Hahaha, I didn't want to start yet another thread asking for help. So I bumped an oldy.

Ok. So I'm going to splace the 2 blue/whites together and hope nothinig blows up!

One more q, theres no ground coming out of the metra harness, so I'm open to suggestions for where to run the ground to?

Your aftermarket head unit probably has two blue wires - one of these is an amplifier remote turn on lead, and the other is a powered antenna remote lead. You want to connect to the powered antenna one. I suppose it's not crucial to use this one, but it's better because you'll keep your amp lead for future use and you'll only send power to the factory Nissan antenna when you're actually listening to FM or AM radio stations.

As far as the ground, I simply grounded my radio out on one of the 4 screws that holds the dash kit in. It drives right into the framework for the dash and grounds nicely.

Wound up temporarily hooking everything up to make sure it works, and it does! Can't wait to get my dash kit. The only thing I didn't do was the reverse switch for camera and the parking brake switch, it's a in dash dvd player. Those I just left chilling. I'd like to do them properly though. Can anyone point me in the direction of some insturctions.
