My wife's 2010 Altima 2.5 SL was purchased new , had a front wheel bearing replaced under warranty at 150000 KMS. When we purchased the car I had some concerns about the CVT . The salesman told us that it was covered for 10 yrs. or 160,000 KMS and we could purchase an extended warranty that would bump it up to unlimited KMs . $2700
January of 2017 CVT failed 258,000 km. transmission service was done regularly. Dealer told us CVT had to be replaced $6000 and that the extended warranty only covered to 160,000 km . We ended up having aamco replace the CVT with one from an auto wreckers $1500 after all was said and done it cost us $5000 . $1000 of it went to the dealer for an oil change ,a CVT service, a small repair , and diagnosis.
