someone else posted something that made me remember to ask this, on my 07 2.0S it makes a funny noise when I accelerate and turn hard left at the same tame (ie: having fun in round-a-bouts) anyone ever hear that?

What kind of noise?

Mine turned out to be the famous front right engine mount (insulator) problem. The seal broke and was leaking fluid.

The direction of the noise could be deceiving. I had thought the clicking, clunking, popping noise came from right rear of the car.

It's doesn't make the noise all the time. ONLY when hard steering and accelerating at the same time. Its not really a scratching popping noise, it sounds like normal engine compartment noise but distorted and ruff. So, I thought it might be to much stress on the CVT or something and was normal. So it's not normal right? I should have them look at it? I've read how people had some steering problems, brought it in to get fixed and never really got taken care of. I don't want to take it into the dealer if I don't have to.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like the motor mount issue to me. Take it in.

Well what do you know!

I took it in last Tues. and sure enough they had to replace the motor mount.

I also had to have them look at the side curtain air bag that I had gotten a recall card for.

Thats CVT lag. Its like a High rev and no power, the transmission was either put under high load then let off the gas, or something else where the transmission could not cool down correctly. Its easy to fix.

you can if you like, but the fix is just adding a transmission cooler, like those with the SE-R have already.

I didn't want to take mine in cause I didn't think any thing would be wrong but it ended up needing the motor mount. You should just take it in while it's under warranty so you have peace of mind.
