All I can say is good luck with your $500 manifold....you are going to need it. Anyone who is after the only tested and proven ca18 manifold in the world, has and will continue to contact and buy them from me.

LOL I would have only asked for a drawing of engine bay dimensions to ensure good fitment.....nothing else. I would surely not need your advise or drawing for design, fitment or anything else.

If typing away to your hearts content on the internet for all to see makes you feel better for not being able to purchase my product for whatever reason, go for it.

The hundreds and hundreds I have produced seem to have held up just fine for me and all my customers, and for the 10 I am currently fabricating, I am sure it will be the same.

Until next time, best of luck,
Ariel

Perhaps I missed it, but have dyno sheets been posted, comparing CPC manifold to stock intake? If it's "tested and proven", there should be some data
What's the current price for the manifold?

Sorry for missing this.

The dyno showed an extra 22rwkw with the turbo running out of puff. Sorry I don't have the dyno graph but it was some 3 or so years ago and on an old computer which called it quits

I should have mentioned that with the stock manifold the car made 205rwkw and seemed to have hit a brick wall in terms of power.

The feedback from the tuner was that apart from the extra horsepower it made the car a lot easier to drift due to its increase in mid-range power.

The manifolds start from $800 plus delivery

"Starts" at 800 - and what extras are there?
How much "bolt-on" are they? I would like to preserve all my air/water/vent ports...

Can you tell if it's possible to modify Evo intake to fit CA18?

The basic manifold is $800 + delivery. This is the one which bolts to the standard butterfly section. This retains all the vacuum lines, IACV and all but the throttle body water lines. They are a bolt on affair with the intercooler piping needing to be shortened to suit.

They do go up to $1400 for the complete 8 port which bolts straight to the head.

I have 4-port head BTW.
"throttle body water lines" - they aren't on manifold anyway
all the ports at the back are retained too?

Complete 4 port is $1200. They also require a billet fuel rail to suit which $200. I usually put 4 vacuum ports and 1 for the brake booster but I can make it suit more if you need.

Cheers

I'd set for just plenum without middle part if I stretch my budget that much :)
Maybe some links to dyno sheets comparing your manifolds (not necessarily CA18DET) to stocks?

Here is a link to a site I advertise on in Australia. Most probably my most developed manifold, the Nissan RB30. With 1.8psi more the car seen an extra 65hp all through an auto. Tuners estimate was about 40hp gain on exactly the same boost

Damn, 15% gain, I didn't think it can be had on that low power level...
Don't you run group buy somewhere by any chance? :) didn't plan to spend 1K+ but very tempted to get one

Have done several group buys in england and Sweden for the ca's specifically and I am more than happy to do another one if there is 5 or more people in total. Price comes down to around $650 + delivery

just a little something I knocked up on the weekend. This is my first ever cad drawing showing that I still have the love for the CA

8 injectors would be a piece of cake to add and changing to 4 port cylinder wouldn't take long either

Why, that would be me! I will have a back to back dyno comparison to go along with this as well (and no changes in boost to potentially skew the results either). I'm excited to see what the CPC CA18 Street manifold can do for my setup!

Thanks Ryan. I was contacted by another member of nico via facebook earlier today, but I suggested it may not be ready until the new year and I was told to have a nice holiday? Not sure what he meant by that

Na, I'll never test the limits of the stock manifold.

Ariel,

It was I that contacted you on facebook about the plenum. Also, since you were busy till after the new year I figured I'd get one from you around that time so that A) You could enjoy your Christmas and New Year without working on extra plenums, and B) I could take care of a few other things with my CA like finding somewhere in southern California that can install and tune Nistune. I will definitely be getting one from you. My car has been resurrected from the dead with a new to me 89 240 sx frame, a completely rebuilt CA with k1 rods and forged pistons, tomei 260 cams, new valves, solid lifters, slight head port, and a gt2871r turbo. the spec clutch is crap, so i picked up an ACT hd unit for it, and finally found that s15 helical i wanted to put in so as soon as they arrive i will get them in. I will order my intake around the Jan 20-25. I won't be back from my trip till then, but rest assured, that intake will be on my car.

Thanks for that, I'll wait to hear from you.

In the meatime, here is the new SR20 manifold I have in development which will also be made to suit the CA18. Check out my facebook page for all the updates
