i just got a custom tubular manifold from a guy. my first problem was my To4e turbo sat to high and the hood wont close so im cutting the tubes off where they weld onto the flange and welding them to angle down more. my other problem is it does not have a wategate flange so i am trying to figure out where to weld it at. theres not much room by the turbo flange where all the tube come together, and i was wondering if i could put it on one of the tubes like this one http://www.etdracing.com/fab/ceramic2.jpgi wouldnt think this would be as good as having it where they all come together. what are youralls opinions?

Not much use in investing alot of money in an equal length mani if your going to rob one runner with a wastegate flange. The flange needs to be on the collector. Another great example of log style mani's being a pretty damn good choice.

what is a youralls???lmao

Ehh that thing doesn't look like it would even work...all the flow would have to go back up that 4th runner. You want it as close to the collector as possible i would say.

damn, hope you didn't pay a lot for that thing, it doesn't exactly sound like it was built too well. That sucks.anyway, YOURALLS is "all of your" usually, in that he is requesting all of your opinions.I'm from West Virginia. Its more common to say "youralls" or sometimes "yalls" (especially in southern parts) than to say all of your.

ok i think i will try to put it on the collector but i will have to run a pipe off it with a bend because of clearence issues for the wastegate. would that be ok, or do you want the wastegate to be right on or as close to the manifold as possible?

Yeah, you could mount it any which way and it'll still be fine.
