Sup Guys~! I'm new to the forum so I just wanted to ask a few questions. 1:What material is good to use on your interior panels for coloring/wrapping?2:Would I have to knock out the windshield to take off my dash board N wrap/paint it????

As of now, I have a 93 SE fastback. I used to have a 93 del Sol. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again~!!!

"Aluminum foil, Bazooka wrappers...oh, oh, wait - I know.

Rice paper."

BAM. ok, seriously there, "R" I would recomend you like...you know, NOT mess with painting your interior unecesssarily, that is..to say at all.

but if you must get any "custom" interior work done, I would recoment taking it to a dedicated shop for that stuff, so it at least looks clean and nice, not just thrown together in the futile hopes it will look like some car from the fast and the furious...

well, I was just curious....I've never had a nissan, more or less worked on one. I've worked on hondas and my Sol had a painted interior that looked great....not sure if it'll come out the same way for the S13s though.....just think that the brown interior needs an overhaul...I was considering buying another complete interior from a parted S13, but my question still stands unanswered:Will you have to knock out the windshield to take off the dash board? Can anyone address this please?

You do not need to remove the windsheld to remove the dash. The interior is really easy. I have taken apart and put mine back together at least 4 times. I will agree with Kun. Get a shop to do the interior painting unless you really know what your doing. Brown? You do need to get something else. Also if you want a custom interor. Put in a role bar, racing seats(sparco torino), custom audio system, pedals, shift knob, steering wheel, and gauges. Just some suggestions

yeah, Im anti-rice. whatever you do, make it nice. I mean, painting the interior to begin with sucks, it will flake off, decolor, etc, unless you get a custom shop to base, color, and clearcoat it,etc.

eitherway, I'd just get the dash panels from a black or grey, or whatever interiored same model 240 you have for like 50-100 dollars from a scrap yard and install that. it'll look better, and not ricey.

I see no reason to lock this thread. He asked a legitament question and no one has done/said anything to warrant it.

Carry on :D

Dude get a tech manual for your car, it tells you how to take it apart and put it back together, besides its got pics... that makes a lot easier. Good luck, and take your time.

Well, I dont agree with Scruff, I want to keep a sleeper look. Most thing I'd do is adjust the seats like it says in the installs for 240sx.org. I just want to make my brown interior go away~!!!!I agree with what EXAR-KUN said, but I'm not anti-rice...in fact, I love rice~! I'm eating it right now~! LOL. But anyways, how about the s14 leather seats? I know the front will bolt right in, but how much mods will it take for the rear to fit? I want to get a hold of some leather ones and want to be sure I can use both front and back

Quick question, are all the parts on all the interiors on all s13s the same? I assume so but i wasn't sure if anything changed along with the front bumper on the s13s.

Thanks,Cliff

Kilipo4 - all should swap over just fine.

RatedR - As for the back seat, just take it to a shop that dose custom interior work, or a upholstery shop, and have them rap some leather around it in the color/colors you want. as for painting i would leave that to the pros.

things i would like to upgrade in my 240 is the center console piece, i really hate the dumb stickers that you put on. so I am going to try and make a custom aluminum piece that will fit my heat/ac controls, deck, and a spot for gages. i would also like to change around my E-break lever (move it and leather boot), also leather boot on shifter, nice stock shaped billet aluminum shift knob, maybe take off the cloth on the glove box, and doors and replace with gray leather. and if my center consol works out. make new window controls, and the piece that holds them out of aluminum. other wise i will leave the stock colors of grays and black.

if im not mistaken, you probably have a ''green'' s13, right? yea, that color sucks, i would just say get what you want and i think the s14 seats are awesome.

i have to congratulate on the idea for the sleeper look, i think that is the best.

I agree with jrc and my previous post. Let the pros handle the paint. You can do the rest.

I have pics of my interior that have most of the pieces wrapped in carbon fibre vinyl. It was a litte time consuming, but worth the investment.

so you have vinyl that looks like carbon fiber.....

rice. rice rice rice rice rice rice rice rice.

thats the same crap they use on "carbon fiber headlights" or "carbon fiber mirrors"....how do you say its "worth the investment" its NOT real carbon fiber, and it didt make the car faster, or lighten it...

to each their own, but jeebus thats ricey.also, this is just my opinion, feel free to flame about why its great to put things that "look fast" on cars all you like.-chet

I've done some research and came across some guy who's done his own interior....somewhat. He's painted everything, but the seats and his doorpillar inserts were done by a shop. I talked to him and he showed me the ropes. Now I'm off to paint my interior...the guy was a real pro, gave me instructions from step 0-100....I told him to try and put up an FAQ for http://www.240sx.org, but either way, I'll do my own work. I've got a digital cam, so I'll try to keep track w/ pics of how I'm doing this.

PS - Lsnapple, you got it bro~! It's got that SH*T brown color that makes me want to run the car straight into a wall~! LOL

OK guys, I know this is an old thread but I figure its better to post on threads similar to what I want to know than to start a new thread and have everyone scream "Search!". With all that said. I am currently recoloring my interior w/ a special plastics paint but down the road I am thinking of having it redone at a shop. My question is, what kind of shop and paint? Regular auto paint or do body shops have special paint for interiors? Thanx.

Since you've reopened my thread anyways, I just wanted to update people on my project. I DID paint my interior, but I'm not finished. I've done the dash and everything up front, all my friends and I think it's coo. I haven't been able to get further than that cause I recently bought another s13 FB, but as soon as that s13 is running nicely you can bet that my interior will be done. I'll post it back up, but in a new thread so everyone can just see pics. Janeh'~!
