I left the arms hanging for some time. I wasnt sure when i was going to get my rear 5 lug. Enjuku was and is still out atm so playing the waiting game. But i just decided to do that later. As for the differential i went with a j30. They can really suck but i really like comfort and smooth. I cant deal with the hop skip around corners and turns. Even though welded sure does seem like alot of fun. Also money was a big factor. I dont have money to replace tires every month. So J30 Vlsd it is.
Cleaned it up some before installing. :)
Image
It was actually my friend's lsd and it does lock pretty decently still so that helped. As compared to buying one off craigslist with unknown life.
Image
Usually i can deal working alone but installing a diff alone is for the birds.
Had my friend Josh help me out!
Image
Started tightening everything back up after having everything scattered for so long.

Sway bar bushings :O. Still on that stock sway bar lol.

Rear subframe was done. I tightened everything up. And then i noticed the passenger rear caliper was leaking. I want to upgrade my brakes but for now... Stock will do. New oem replacement it is.

Alright next.... these body panels. Ive been procrastinating on my front end since it got in that fender bender. Not sure why i started to take my driver fender off because its fine but i remembered that i need to re do my harness. When i first tucked it , i didnt do it very well. It was time to!
Image
Image
Image
Image
It was very crappy. I dont use zip ties. Thats for the birds. Time to do it right.
Image
Also i was looking at my hood latch cable while i was at it. Ive always had trouble hooking it back up inside under dash because there was to much tension on it. Time to fix that too.
Image
Image
I was looking at it and it doesnt make sense that it goes out side into the wheel area only to go back in? Lol. Not having it.
SO i made this little hole right by my clutch master cylinder. That way i can route it into my frame and right through the engine bay. Out of site, Away from wheel, and i can bolt it back up under the dash. Perfect.
Image
Image
Awesome part is that i can also run my boost gauge vac line through there and my wires for my temp gauge. No need to have things running across the engine bay or shock tower. Especially close to the turbo manifold. That heat is deadly.

Time to cut another pignose. FUN! ? No. I hate doing it. Its scary. I ruined one. lol.
This one came out pretty good though.
Image
Image
This picture might seem random But after all the cutting i got all my parts ready to get painted and transported them to my friends house. The hood was being held down on top of my daily driver by these guys lol.
Image
The hood needed some work under neath. I really really wanted to give it to an artist and get it done in graffiti or something wild. I love street art but sad part is people that are good want alot of money even if im going to bring them more business. No worries though... As long as the horrid stained white was gone.
So under the hood will match the bay and the rest will be cream colored again.
Image
Here's progress under the hood.
Image
Image
Image
Image
This bumper had alot of little rock dimples in it. Still better than my first one lol.
Image
Image
Image
I still need to do the passenger side harness. 5 lug has been a mess cause of the back order. I might just order something else with s14 fronts so i dont have to go back to s13 spindles. Gauges are also pending... Stay tuned!

Alright ! Parts painted. Front bumper, front lip, front passenger head light, and hood. I love the color!
Image
Image
Image
Image
I was so excited that the front bumper was oem. All for the little "nissan" indent.
Nothing like oem parts.
Image
Image
started fitting the front end with the hood. Getting some things straightened out and some electrical clean up in the front. The headlight connections were dull.
Image
The fender corner was still slightly bent. Nothing these guns cant straighten out lol.
Image
Image
The bottom on the hood was a nice touch. I couldnt stand the dirty stained white under there.

So then i grabbed a rag to keep from cutting my hands while i pulled on the corner of the fender to straighten it out. I was extremely scared to buckle the fender or chip the paint. I should have used a heat gun but im very impatient and it WORKED!
Image
And back to the passenger side harness that i never got around to doing.
Image
Image
Image
Image
This picture looks awesome. !
Image
Redoing these 20 year old butt connectors.
Image
Image
This part was a pain!. My front mount wanted more space. Problem was that the bumper was already painted. I used a razor blade at my finger tips and trimmed little by little to keep from ruining any paint on there.
Image
Sometimes i take long breaks on the project garage queen to do hood rat stuff with some friends. Mostly just drive around with out fenders and a huge front mount lol.
Image
And then also help other friends get their car done. My friend Felipe and his awesome e36.
Image
Anyways... So then these boost gauges.
Image
The water temp is only because i dont trust the cluster for temp. Its not very accurate and id like to keep my sr for a long time. Lol.
Image
Its a mess under there.
Image
Image
I originally wanted a water neck with the fitting on it but the one i bought was weird and tapped wrong. Then i went with a s14 oem water neck. I dont feel like drilling into that. Its not very hard but i already had this hose add on adapter. Why not.
Image
Image
And this is where im currently at. Still alot to be done!!!!

Time for more updates :). Random but i picked up water wetter. Funny story actually, I went to autozone and asked for it and the guy that worked there said "water is wet". Lol. Anyways, gotta make sure the sr is always cool.
Image
Back to those gauges. !
Image
Image
Image
Image
SO then i finally got a hold for 5 lug rear hubs. My friend had a spare set sitting around. Isis pro rear hubs. Except these need bearings. -___-
So i got curious and searched part numbers. Rear bearing is same from 89-98. I tried to get away with using my stock 4 lug ones. They were smooth and it would save me 200 bucks. Why not?
Image
Then got around to pulling the old and ugly off the car.
Image
Image
Trying to press the bearings out for reuse.
Image
Well that plan failed rather fast. The bearing pressed out but left the race stuck to the hub. I wasnt about to bust a mission to reuse old bearings so... New ones it is.
Image
Image
Image
As for the fronts... A while ago i parted a s14. and i got free s14 lowers and spindles. Well one time i was fixing stuff and noticed my wheel bearing was bad so i used the s14 spindle and hub. Well now i need to switch back to a s13 spindle. Get a new s13 lower ball joint so i can keep the s14 front lower. Its like a game of musical chairs ...
Image
waste of a new s14 ball joint :O
Image
Image
While im at it... gotta sell these super clean tear drops :/. These are my favorite stock wheels. I wish they were 17x10 15 offset. Lol.
Image
New bearings are in!
Image
With the help of this guy of course. Tire kingdoms finest lmao.
Image
Image
Image
Time for ball joint fun! old s14 bushing even thought its new lol.
Image
New ones are in.
Image
Didnt get around to installing the 5 lug all the way around yet. Also hunting down wheels atm. Not sure what to get.
Image
Image
Itll shine again eventually... !

Alright lets see... what have i been up to? The desktop 240sx got kinda lame so i took that apart!
Image
My friends 2j was finally placed and fitted!
Image
Got back to the 5 lug!
Image
While i was at it... i deleted my dust shields. I find dust shields rather pointless. Its ugly and it really doesnt trap much dust. Also, if you ever need to change a stud or stud'S it makes it very easy. Dont have to unbolt a thing. Just knock them out and tighten a new one right on. So now you know! Save yourself work later! Throw away those dust shields.

Then wheels. I had no idea what i wanted. I had already purchased some oem z32 wheels but those are just so dull and boring. Plus a sunk looking fender isnt cool. I cant have my car looking like the wheels are missing lol. :chuckle:
Also, i cant justify spending 3k on a set of nice shiny wheels. That money can be in else places. Maybe later. For now i needed something plain and simple while still being 17x10.

My friend Carlos was getting rid of his wheels. :ohno:

The rears fit great. Im not a fan of the tiny tires. Being that the ones up front are brand new, ill just have to beef up the rears later when i get around to it.
The fronts were touching my coilover's. I didnt have this problem with my grid's because they were +12 offset. These are +20. So i picked up a set of 20mm spacer's for the front to sit them at 0.
Image
Some threads were kinda jacked. Slightly though. Took a file and random lug nut cleaned them all up.

I like my track star looking fitment lol.

I wish i had put the pignose lip on it for this picture. Ive yet to put it on and see how it looks freshly painted and paint matched. I also found a small pin hole leak in my koyo rad. That's gona need replacing lol. And still sourcing parts and all the nick nacks i want for it. Next plans are engine bay shiny parts, lights and signals,Interrior!!! and still debating on making it real jdm. I kinda enjoy its simple stock body look. Who knows. Car's are just never finished.
