Just wondering i seen these on some cars and do are they better than just having the hose or what do they do exactly? I was thinking of buying one or two for the hose that goes from the crankcase to the pcv valve, so if i put a filter on the crankcase do i also have to put one over the pcv valve or how does that work?

I've never done it myself so I can't say for certain. Let me see if I can find someone who has..

Is there a reason that you want to do this? The pcv system is designed to draw air through the crank case to take out any gas fumes and other things that are in there out. If you take the hoses off and put filters on, the contaminants stay in the crank case and help to contaminate the oil. If you are having blow by issues, install a baffled catch can and it will help separate oil out of the air that goes into the manifold.
