crank pulley will not come off

my crank pulley wont come off any one have any ideas of how i can this thing off its on there really good

if you have the bolt off, you need to use a pulley pulley. you can rent them for free at just about any parts store.

yeah .. and don't forget to search the archive too (I wish you could choose 'both', saves time)

be warned you mightsnap the edges off the pully with a pully puller, I did

Its always recommended to replace the pulley with a brand new one when you use a puller to get it off. Im sure you will have problems with the dampener if there is one on there (I dont know if CA's have them). Did you try some brake cleaner on it and soak for a while?

sorry i did'nt search i just thought it was my luck i put some liquid wrench on it but no luck i'll get a gear puller or a pulley puller tomorrow ( i did'nt even think of that )

replace the pully with what

unless you're FWD, not an option really, unless you get lucky and someone has a spare.

This does not pertain to the CA18, so please don't tear up your pulley and expect to find a new one easily. This topic has been covered before, so give it a swing with some of the suggestions posted and if that doesn't work, let us know. This thread is now locked...........
