Yeah, dammit...should have saved my 90's puked AT for a rebuild to make my TT the MAX! That -20 HP from the AT snails plus the infamous Tragic shift-lag (if not pure slip) performance...woo-HOO!!! :chuckle:

For the price it's not too bad (especially for cali) but whoever did the body work on the DS lower in front of the rear wheel did a terrible job.

And it's also listed as clean title, which a poorly done rear 1/4 panel hackjob calls into question.
$800 in my book...max.

Posting is already gone, but Condenser fan isn't that hard of a repair.

Not that I'd do $4k for this, but if I had the money and space, there's perhaps some decent spare parts here. I already tried for the JDM tails. Post says it runs, but not sure I'd want to try that with a plastic baggie on the cold-side intercooler tube. I'm sure the decal on the rear center panel is good for a 10% hp increase... I know, to each their own... Post-mortem pics like this do make me cry a little on the inside.

At least the seller is trying to protect the air path from excessive moisture infiltration. I'd say its worth $2k tops if the interior is in great shape. Otherwise $1k if he can prove the engine runs and it tests out good.

Definitely good that he's doing that - I can just see it getting forgotten and then sucked into the intake. I've seen my share, and done my share, of knucklehead stuff. No way to know, but I'd speculate the interior isn't good since he didn't post pictures. Like I said, it'd be nice if I had the space - not to mention the money to throw around to have a number of spare parts. The guy seems at least a little reasonable - maybe someone in the area could make use of it. They're not very common 'round these parts.

Does anyone in socal know of the 300zx tt that was crashed and listed for parts that was on CL up until a few days ago? It had a smashed windshield, was pearl white, bad bumper etc. The post expired just as I was about to contact the guy yesterday. He had no number or email listed just the Craigslist contact email, which expired. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I just really want to look at that car lol.

Interestingly enough this is probably the most appropriate thread to post that even though that is totally not the original intent of the thread. GL with your search.

This one looks decent, but seeing two different cars through the pictures just might be a red flag. Not to mention, there's a little too much plumbing going on in that engine bay photo for an NA... and the engine is sitting in a black car.

He may have 2 or more Z32s, I think he probably just posted the wrong picture because the engine bay is definitely a TT. As for the car itself, I'd never pay that much for any NA, ever, But that's me. As for valuation, I would say its a solid $7-9k car depending on the market. Its not special enough to warrant such a high asking price. There were 11,885 Super White Z32s produced, that's 13.33% of the entire production run, second only to Diamond Black Pearl which was 13.52%. I'd say this is one of the most UN-rare Z32s

Yea, after looking again, he does say that he's owned a few of them. Easy mistake to make, I'm sure. I agree that's it's over-priced, but I guess anything's worth a shot. Given the market here in the central PA area, I think he's even at the upper end of pricing for TTs. I got lucky when I got mine a few months ago for under $8k, even with the clutch & 120k work I need to do... and that includes the plane ticket price

The H-town heat must've gotten to him. NA/AT for $12k? Yea, that's a bit extreme. While the miles are low, that's REALLY low, as in hasn't been driven much at all. Lots of potential for bad seals, etc. Deal breaker for me would be the trunk hydraulics. For that price, the trunk hydraulics best be working.

For that price it better be in showroom condition with no oxidation on the exhaust.

Especially considering the trunk hydraulics are super easy to swap out. That's just laziness. If they're slacking on that, what else have they skimped on?

^ if this thing is as described. $2000 into it will get you well over 500 naturally aspirated HP. So as goofy as it may be its a pretty worthy car especially if you want to drift or build a sleeper.

Very nice car. That said, a question remains. How to determine a reasonable asking price for within a CL Posting? This guy used a simple rule of thumb: $10.00 per word used in the description.

Idk, that may be worth asking price. I'd personally say somewhere in the $17.5k range would be more reasonable, but most people on CL account for lowballers.

Wow, two of the rarest colors and both in very good condition and with fairly reasonable asking prices...nice!
The yellow one seems to need a bit more TLC perhaps, but both would be very nice cars to work with I'd think...as good as possible anyway.
