Here is the end result of the installation. I will document the installation process soon.

CoWay H3 HID kit - 6000k

I am running 6000k HID headlight bulbs and HID H3's (both sets from our sponsor). This is a great conversion and Roger (CoWay) was available via phone on a Saturday to answer any question I had. Great support!

looks great matt! just out of curiousity, did they come with any type of braket to mount the ballasts? i have been talking w/jeremiah about his setup and he said that his kit came with a braket he used to mount them, which would be handy to keep them from sliding around...just in case you had to do some "aggressive" driving, lol!

Yes, they come with brackets. I have them mounted behind the fogs. Each side has a 10mm bolt location. On the drivers side, there is nothing there and on the pass side it is the lower mount for the washer reservoir. I used the supplied 10mm bolt for one side and the factory bolt on the other. I put 2-sided tape on them as well to ensure they don't flop around.

Per Roger, you can pull the headlights and have access from the top. My headlight bolts are rusted in (I ripped a top off trying) so I had to go from the bottom.

I think he has the H3 HID kit for around $179

On mine it was quasi-plug-n-play. I cut the wires and re-fed them through the fog housing for a "factory" fit. Then I simply soldered the factory plug back on and it connected right up. If it were not for the weird Nissan fogs I would not have had to do anything but change the plugs.

no good man. as there is little room under there as it is, im trying to find a kit as close to plug-n-play as possible. i get in a real bad mood when im cramped up under there, holding the wheel-well trim back w/my head, flashlight with my teeth, and pliers to undo/redo the friggin' door hinge thingy!! PIT-freakin-A!!

It _is_ a "plug-n-play". I just took it to the next level.

I'm not sure about the 4th-gen fogs, but my 2k2's have a sealed-screw backing. In order to keep that in place, I cut and resoldered.

i prefer the "stock" type assembly. i have a soldering iron so i guess if its not too much trouble, seeing as how i've never soldered anything before, i will try to cut the wires, feed them through the sealed backing and solder them back together and wrap w/electrical tape when i do mine.

jeremiah, we have GOT to find a better way to get my fogs out than the way ive been using. lets try to take out the screw on the side and see if they slide out like yours?

umm actually matt, studies show that bad eyesight come from too much 'alone time' with yourself.
