1. How many Infiniti J30's were sold in the North America?2. I have a 1993 with 107K, and a factory, right still from the assembly line, suspension system. My Dad asked me to ask you if it needed to be replaced because of its age, and help?3. HIDS, yes, Ive read the other threads, but this is different. I have a CDM car, and it has DTRL's. How can I run the HIDs with my DTRL's or can I disconnect them?

I have all the original suspension on my 94 except the rear struts and front tie rods. Apperently the PO hit a LARGE pot hole and blew out the rear strut and bent the rim.

I took the rear struts and front tie rods off the 93 and put them on my 94. So really, I now have parts that are OLDER than the stock parts with about the same miles. The car is about to roll 200k. I'm sure they're not as tight as new ones but the car rides fine and doesn't float or bounce up and down.

o ya, two more. Is the car safe to try out the cruise control, its never been used before on it. Also, for a CAI, is it ok for the filter to get wet?

MY TURN!!!!!!!!!

In this day in age, cruise control can be your best friend. Just accelerate to the desired speed & press the "Set" button. Your J should stay at that speed. Just brake like normal to cancel it & press the "Resume" button while accelerating to get back to your set speed. Trust me, it will save you gas & unwanted police tickets.

As far as the filter goes, no water should get into the intake whatsoever. If it does, your engine will hydrolock, meaning that your pistons will push the water, but not make it compress like gas does. This will make your engine lock up & cost you a motor. Since you have a cone filter that goes where the factory airbox was (I think most modded J's have that setup), you shouldn't have to worry about water getting into your engine. On the other hand, when you do have a real CAI (one that sticks the filter under the bumper or somewhere in that area), then you have to take extra precautions to not lock up the motor.

If I forgot anything else, please tell me.

That's right.

Also, more than likely, you'll have to wash your filter & re-oil it (@ least with K&Ns; if you buy an AEM custom intake, you won't have to do that). Just be sure to let the filter dry completely before re-installing it & driving.

You can go 50,000 miles before you have to clean and re-oil the K&N unless it's very low to the road and picking up alot of dirt.
