Hi, my name is Patrick and I purchased an 06 350Z Grand Touring 6 months ago. This is my first Nissan I have ever owned, I had the dealership install the Nismo exhaust and my buddy(ASE certified) and I installed the nismo intake. Four months later I am starting to notice some small issues that may become a huge problem. Since this is my first Nissan, can you tell me if these sounds and issues are normal.

1st: When I am in 1st or 2nd gear and accelerate then let off the gas peddle there is a large amount of drivetrain noise. Mostly 1st gear

2nd: When I am in bumper to bumper traffic or navigating through the city, after awhile my clutch peddle starts to not catch or engage until the peddle is 3/4 pushed in and sometimes it will even get stuck. Its like the first 1/2-3/4 the clutch is not even there. Then after a while the clutch will spring back up.

3rd: Sometimes second gear makes a grinding noise when I shift. Most of the time it just makes a weird noise going into 2nd. Its not quite a grinding noise, but more like a hard clicking noise.

I get the car serviced regularly according to the owners manual. Car only has 34,000 miles on it

Please can you help, I still have full coverage on the car for another 2months/2,000 miles

I would take it in and have it looked at. It's still covered so screw it. Make them give you a loaner while they fix it.

Appreciate the input, I was going to end up taking the car in when I have some free time. Do any of these problems sound like a real issue?

So I took the car to the nearest Nissan Dealership. They looked over the car and took them out for a test drive to show them what I have been experiencing. They told me the transmission noise was normal for a 350Z. And paid for my rental car and told me to come back if anything else was wrong. I still have 2years/30,000 miles left on my power train warranty. Any thoughts on going to another Nissan Dealership for a second opinion, or is the mechanic right on the noise?
