Costs of repair
I have a 95 J30 and after an inspection was told that the front boots were torn. This causes my steering column to be pretty tiresome because its very hard to turn the wheel. About how much does this cost to repair? And is this the real cause of the steering issues?

Thanks for your help! Well, we finally were able to find someone to look at it and you're right, the boot was the least of our problems. Apparantly, we need a new rack and pinion. Among other things. That's gonna run me close to $600.
