So I want to get another set of XXRs for my car. My stock tires are dunzo, and two of the steelies are bent. I want to get some 522s but was wondering if the 16X7 +25s will fit and what tires I should put on them. I have the car lowered on Megan springs that have very much settled. They have been on there for about 20k miles if I am not mistaken. Anyways. I am not a tire expert, but was wondering what size tire I should put on those...and also want to see if those wheels will fit. The guy at the tire shop never got back to me on some 16 x 7 +15 513s but I also found the 522s to be appealing. Also, I want to get a set of tires that will last longer than a set of toyos or falkens, yikes. Any comments/suggestions will help. Thanks again.

The wheels will work. That's close to the size we have on ours. Tire recommendation depends on location. What part of the country do you live in?

Thanks for the help. I live in Pasadena, California.

Now I am just trying to decide on tire size...215/50/16 then? I don't want something chunky...but not too low profile either. My 912s were terrible on the 513s after they were bald haha.

LoL, I gotta' go to the tire shop this weekend.

The factory tire size for the 16x6 wheels are 195/55/16, at least that is what came with my car. I currently have a set of wheels with 195/50/16 on a 16x8 wheel.

go to this site as a guide. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

any deviations from stock tire size will affect speedo reading and actual speed.

Chompsticks is always there to help a brotha.

Thanks! This will be handy. I guess I just want a tire that will actually last this time haha.

No kidding! Toyos are good tires for handling, but wear fast. I am on some kuhmos now and they seem to be fairing better that the stock tires so far.

Overall rule, cheap car means cheap parts. However, a good set of wheels/tires and brakes should never be "skimped" on.

I think I might make the investment if I keep the car. It just turned 45k so it's still worth it haha.

Wow, I hope I didn't jinx it. After all it is a Nissan.
