When I bought this truck, the previous owner wasn't sure what type of coolant it had, only that it is orange. The only orange coolant I know of is the 50/50 Dexcool from GM which is what is run in my gfs pontiac.

I'm gonna buy a new heater core and install that soon, so I need to know what type of coolant to add. Is this the normal color, or was the original color green?

one of my trucks was green the other was rusty water.

there is a red/orange type... i think its prestone but i'm not sure

you can use whatever you want really though... if you're gonna drain in put what you want in it and don't worry about color... i use peak 50/50
