I just had the fuel injectors and injector harness changed on my 90 300zx TT at a shop.

Got it back with a coolant leak behind the motor on the passenger side. The shop doesn't want to fix it and the car is still sitting there. I'm still trying to fight this issue with them.

I was hoping you guys could help me on finding out where the leak is coming from?

After looking this issue up on the web on other Z forums this seems to be a common issue on these cars after removing the plenum.
I personally think the leak is coming from a coolant line, but I wouldn't know which one.

The shop is insisting its a head gasket leak, but I don't think it is, because when I took the car there I didn't have this problem. And if it is, then it still has nothing to do with me because It didn't have a coolant leak when I gave the car to them.

Any help is appreciated, I feel like I'm trapped and I don't know what to do.

If the shop still refuses to fix the leak that wasn't there prior to their work... threaten legal action. Let them know that you will call your lawyer (even if you don't have one yet.) Be persistent and knowledgeable. Shady mechanic shops will get away with whatever they can. So, don't let them get away with JACK!

Now for the coolant leak... I'm 99.9% sure that it's not the head gasket from doing a plenum pull. Unless you have really sh*tty luck and perfect timing lol. It's most likely that they didn't tighten a clamp/connect one of the coolant hoses running under the plenum. Go to the shop... ask them to show you the leak and take pics. Post them here and people will be able to tell you where the leak is coming from.

I had 3 injectors fail on me 2 weeks after I bought the car, hows that for sh*tty luck.

I strongly believe its a coolant line under the plenum as is this is pretty common after taking it off.

I also have a feeling a clamps not tightened all the way either, because they told me they had to replace the heater hoses because they broke while working around them due to dry rot.

I'll be talking to them again today, and will try to stress that its most likely a line under the plenum again.

I already threatened them with legal action, but the manager doesn't seem to care, he said "Well, if thats what you feel you have to do."

The worse part about this is this is a Nissan dealership, believe me I didn't want to take it there but I had no where else to go and I'm dropping a lot of money at this place, money I honestly don't really have.

I've even called Nissan about the matter but they told me they couldn't do anything for me other than suggest them to look at the car again, but thats up to them. They can't force them to do anything because they don't own them.

I hate to bring up a sore subject if things didn't work out in your favor but what ever happened with you Z and the coolant leak?
