Interesting idea. Be careful with those ricer neon-like lights! They may not be insulated well-enough to deal with the heat generated by the projectors, especially if you do the HID upgrade. :nono

There is someone on zilvia.net that made his own projector/popup lights for his s13.. I think his name is Halo on there. He has a whole write up with pics on how to do it. Maybe search on zilvia

if you could post a link to the thread i'd appreciate it Hook. Also, good point you brought up kouki. I also wonder if the plastic tubing used in one of your links would deform over time due to the heat of the projectors. However, I think switching to HID xenon would solve the heat problem...but that's just a lot of money.

I noticed that alot of the projector replacement instuctions want you to put the low beam on the inside instead of the outside like it normally is. Is there any reason for this? I figured it would be better to have it on the outside edge so you get a wider beam pattern but I could be wrong.

I could not find the post with everything in it but here is a link to some pics of the completed conversion. I think it came out very good for a totally custom job.

Hmm, I'm not sure what instructions you're referring to. I agree that the low beams should optimally be placed on the outside of the cluster. Perhaps due to the depth of the Hella low beam housing as compared to that of the high beam housing, it might be easier to mount it inboard? All the pics of the conversion I'd like to do show the low beams on the outside and I think it's the most aesthetically pleasing way to do things.

Can you tell me more about the instructions you're talking about, BaliLover? A link perhaps?
