I tried to get the dealership to read any codes related to the TPMS problems that I have and they said they couldn't connect to the car reliably. Has anyone had issues with not being able to communicate with the latest version of Consult? This is on a 2003 Q45 Premium.

Cheers

Since the C3+ jumped from v93 to v201, all the upgrades seem to have had some issues that required repeated "rolling back". We haven't noticed anything specific with older vehicles, but C3+ has always had issues with certain vehicles before '05, especially the NATS/NVIS functions. Our dealership keeps a C2 around just for that.

PS - For TPMS they probably shouldn't be using Consult anyway, the Tech-II is the right tool for that.

Wow!
Thanks for the quick answer. Their Consult II isn't working so I'll have to try another dealer. Can you give me a little more info on what the Tech-II is? Is that the gadget for mating the wheel sensors to the car?

Yes, the Tech-II is the Techmate product we use for mating TPMS sensors to the BCM, but it can tell you with just a walkaround which ones are unreadable.

Right then. The service advisor and at least 3 others have tried their gadgets including the Tech-II (twice) and have found no issue with the sensors.

I just got a call from the service advisor and he got a response back from Nissan Canada regarding compatibility and they verified that a Consult II is needed to talk to my car.

I was afraid of that, but at least now you know what you need to find.
