Hello there im new to this site and I own a 2000 Maxima GLE and I have some questions I hope someone can answer. I recently changed out the Bosch(crap) plugs for some NGK and I was wondering what the proper color should be. SOme history engine has 136.000 on the clock and is very well maintained since 50,000 by me. The plugs were platinum and they had a redish tint to them and the electrode was very black, is this normal or should I be concerned. Thanks for any info and I will continue to post.

I guess that's normal. That's about what mine looked like after I pulled them.

noah is right on with that. the reddish tint is natural if you have used any fuel additives. keep rollin those OE Laser Platinums from NGK!
