Just curious, my dealer told me that my car was extremely rare when I picked it up about six months ago......... I have a blue a/c v6 w/ manual shift. Anyone else have these same details on their a/c?

At the time, the dealer seemed to be talking the truth, I walked around the lot and there were about 100 4 cyl CVTs... supposedly Nissan was hedging on a younger crowd going for a more automated, affordable lifestyle. little did they know the a/c would quickly turn into a perfect tuner's car. :]

Has the trend changed?,, curious if Nissan is now pumping out more manuals than cvt's.

when i got mine they had 3 3.5se's - 1 six speed and two CVT's. They're producing the a/c 10 to 1 in favor of the cvt at least. if you walk around a nissan dealership even the 350z's are mostly auto trans as well.

Blue is the rarest color, manual is the lest common of the transmission and out of all the coupes only 40% are 3.5SE. Blond leather is more rare than black, and most 3.5SE aren't full equip and don't have the navigation package

So yours is pretty rare

Cool, I shall tag myself with a 'rarecar' decal. not........ haha... I don't have any upgraded interior.

I'm surprised to read that most 350z's are also automatic.,, Performance cars are all about the stick shift, wouldn't you say? Although it appears that the over the next few years the new trend will be paddle-shifters... Haven't tried them myself yet, but sounds very cool in theory.

i have a blue 3.5 SE 6mt sedan, and when he located mine, the dealer said mine was the only one available in Canada at the time. Not many dealers will stock a manual for this type of car. Average buyer looking for a 4 door sedan with a stick shift is pretty rare.

yeah, the manual shifters are guna have a hard time selling their cars.(Including me)

But i hope the 3.5 manuals will sell better than the 2.5 cuz (i assume) more ppl looking for the 3.5 will want a standard trans.

Yeah, my AC is a Blue 3.5 MT also... Blond leather... I also live in Pittsburgh as i see in your info. What dealership did you get yours from?

I think your right about it becoming a nice tuner car... I'm real glad I went with the 3.5 in a Manual. It'll be real fun to own and fix up and then should sell pretty well when the time comes.

Satin White (best color, or so most of the calgarians think)3.5lManual 6speed

wat i believe is, the standard should be a BETTER RESELL...why? cause LESS people have it, so when u sell it, your car will be more RARE and those who are looking for second hand coupe that is standard, there is less competition
