No no no... I had to use a hammer because the turbo was used and the turbine housing was stuck and would not clock (turn) to fit on the driver's side of the motor.

do u know if the wiring is the same as in a silvia s13 that has a ca18det in it??? as we dnt hav 240sx in new zealand.

Can anyone give me some help on my wiring? I've run into a problem that I cant seem to figure out. My car was originally an automatic, and the tranny sensor plugs are different. I am using the KA lower harness BTW.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about, that can possibly help out, please shoot me an IM my SN is MaxdaMilli0n (AIM)....pretty please.

Saw the bit about requireing the r32 crossmember is there a good source for these?

350 for top hats mount kit seems a bit high to me.

Didnt check if it was stickied yet but if not it should but i saw 32 xmembers on ebay like 3days ago for like 30 dollar but this is the question ive been wondering and all ways gettin a differnt answer. The mounts don't line up with the stock ones do they you got to get x member or custom mounts thats what i thought but this guy i know was tellin me that he actually did a swap wit his friend and said the stock one works but I think he was b'sing ....... STICKY THIS !!!! make it easyer for me to find later when i do mine yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haha

Oh there wouldnt happen to be one of these for a ka would ther and im missin the three pipes that go under neath the throtle body and theres like that plactic box that leads off of the air box and is on the wheel well dont know what its called but i cant find where the rest of it goes to cuz therse no hoses that it can plug in to after i pluged it in to the thing below the it ...and there is the hose that goes from the airbox to the valve cover that all i can think of at the moment but if I could get some help wit this would be great thanks ROCK ON DUDES haha

Wanting to verify... the ka24e ecu is still being used? Just with the new pin-out splicing from the RB20(5/6)?

WHAT?????I know you didn't seriously asked that did you???Think about it, you want a 4cyl computer with a Distributor to control a 6cyl with DIS?????

The answer is no, you must use the RB20 ECU and rewire the harness to work.

I have just purchased my RB20DET motor.. and i NEED TO GET A R32 crossmember... I have been searching for them for days but still cant find anything... if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated... thankss

good stuff.. very simple and to the point.. i am a Ka-t guy but ill be getting another 240 and dropping a rb20 in it when i get back from iraq.. time for something sorta new lol

yeah mello88 you should update it man be sweet.. I remmeber having that picture but then lost it and then you re-sent me it.

you should for real update it be sweet.. i also think since that's a/t all the fucntions are the same but i think some coloring in wires are different, i cant remember which some of them were but i noticed it while looking on that and on my m manual one.

this thread is sick but......

Im not finding any info on nicoclub about how to swap RB20det into s13 zenki sohc??? Only the RB25det and wiring stuff. Which is very helpful!!!

But I need the RB20det swap info. The questions i have are:

Some folks said I need to cut the firewall. Do i absolutely need to cut the firewall for tranny to clear rb crossmember?

Will my only option be a custom driveshaft with the rb tranny?

And do I need a custom downpipe for the turbo to connect to a bolt on exhaust system? (greddy, hks etc.)

Does anyone know if there is a thread that will clear this up for me?

I already ordered the motor i just want to see what i just got myself into

No, rb20 fit like a glove, trans is almost identical to ka.

Here is list to your answers, u should SEARCH first, all the info that you would need is all on this site, but here u go anyway 1. RB20 Engine and trans fits2. Driveshaft fits Rb20 from KA ( I used a KA 5spd driveshaft from non ABS 240)3. Stock Downpipe and turbo elbow clears in S13 (S14 IDNK)4. U will need R32 xmember or custom mounts.

that's your problem, listening to the people that never done a rb swap. hear-say is your enemy.

How about this one? I made this last year when I was doing all of my wiring. Should be fairly complete. It's for a manual rb20 ecu.

My rb idles high at 3k. And I also found out that my ecu is not giving signal to the maf. I opened the ecu and it looks fine. Nothing is burned out. No marks of whats so ever. Should I change my ecu? or Could I some how wire something to make it get a signal? lmk getting frustrated. Car cant rev pass 4k and when it is warmed up the idle drops up and down.

that sounds more like a vac leak. i thought i had everything tight but i was using a pvc hose for my breather. I changed it to a good hose yet it still ran like crap. So then i noticed i had ONE vac line loose on the back of the manifold and it still ran like garbage. make sure absolutely everything is snug.

This thread is really getting somewhere and helped me out immensly. I did run into some questions maybe im the only one. Can someone make a diagram in detail of the eccs and ign. relay's wiring for an s14.

Pin (rb 43,45) confused the sh## out of me. Also, just out of curiosity what are pins (rb 116,108,107) inj. grounds?? that are hot when the ecu is off??
