You might need a long adapter for the socket wrench. My batter (Versa S manual) mount is different than Bulldog's. The brace on mine is at the base of the battery. Check that before you drive over to see if you need to stop somewhere to get a socket long enough to reach it.

And yes its worth it. It makes the car sound a lot nicer, and adds some much needed pep to the acceleration.

Aw.... I didn't get the hat, t-shirt or the license plate cover when I ordered off versa speed. Actually, I didn't get the 3 inch t-clamp rings either(had to use the ones I pulled off the stock system), but Bill's gonna send those clamps again.

Anyone get those things when they got it off versaspeed? (during the sale)

so i got it in the mail, well at my friends house... on my birthday ironically, seeing how it was my bday present to myself =]... it went on fairly easy, my friend did most of the work though, and the instructions could have been a little better... but all in all it was worth it... 167 shipped.. didnt realize it would change the sound so much! sounds much deeper... which is awesome, plus you get the little whistle when you hit the gas =p im also glad its easy to drive it without making it so noticable when needed (my parents are really against upgrading parts and such) so they cant know i did it... but theyre not under my hood at all O=]... heres the only pic i got with my phone...

the only thing im worried about is getting water in it... my friend said it should be good cause its a closed tip filter, and the engine doesnt make enough suction to pull water all the way through that vertical tube, but what do you guys think? i would hate to hydrolock my engine...

Plan on crossing rivers? If the answer is "no f'ing way", then it should be fine. It's not going to pull up water into the engine unless the filter is completely submerged (whether is open or closed tip filter makes no difference). I'm not a believer in such mods, but like any mod, adjust your driving accordingly; avoid standing water.

dude, are you serious... i go offroading, its my mini jeep. just kidding, yeah i try to avoid big lake-size puddles, but around where i live, its all mostly on the very edge of the road, so im not too worried about it, but its ok if the filter does get a little wet, just not completely submerged?

It's ok if it gets a little wet. If anything the moisture will help reduce intake charge temp... just don't go spraying the filter with water intentionally. You don't want to mess up the airflow meter. A bit unnecessary to place the filter that low. It's just cheaper to make a kit that way than to spend the R&D time to come up with a snug fitting heat shield in the engine bay... and easier to cover it up with marketing (it's away from the engine... bam! cooler air!).
