Coilovers for my 1994 Nissan Maxima, need help finding

Postby Tat2Dave » Tue Oct 27, 2020 5:09 pm

I can not find anyone who makes coilovers for my 94 Nissan Maxima. The back shocks and spindle the wheel goes on are one piece, and I cant find anyone who makes them. Does anyone know who makes and sells them? Or can someone please tell me if I can modify my rear end so something else will fit on my car. Thank you for any help you guys can give me

no companies make direct fit coilovers for a 3rd gen maxima. You might be able to find some used Eibachs or other "vintage" lowering springs, but you must update the struts to something good because the OEM ones won't handle it.

Thank you for your response, i was told if i got lowering springs when my car gets put on a lift the springs lower because there isnt any weight to keep them in place and its a pain in the a** to line them back up to lower the car off of the lift. Is there any thing i can do to modify my car so some coilovers will fit on the back? Thanks again

???

replacing the springs is pretty straight forward. It just lowers your car about 2 inches. You will need an alignment, just like any other time you replace struts or springs.

There are no companies that make coilovers for this car, period. If you want to do some research and fabrication, you can probably make something work, but no one has ever done that before that I am aware of.
