My OBII CVT scanner is showing that my 2010 Altima 2.5S has code P0725 and P0826. From doing some on-line looking, I find that P0725 most likely is indicating the need to replace the Magnetic Camshaft Position Sensor (as in Dorman part number: 917-740), the code P0826 seems to be related to a shift issue or transmission issue OR it could be related to the Crank Shaft Position Sensor. OK the problem is --- When I do a parts search for a Crankshaft Position Sensor for a 2010 2.5S the results come back as "part not found" ?? So is there no Crankshaft Position Sensor on the 2.5 (OR is it the Transmission Speed Sensor call-out?) Confusing!
So can a diagnostic scanner help to determine and isolate the issues? I guess I could change out both sensors (the camshaft position sensor AND the transmission speed sensor verses paying out to have a shop do the analysis.
What is the forum's opinions here?
