Coating pealed of the headers after 2 days!

After installing headers on my ka24de. It's perfomance has been great the engine seems to rev faster and the power band seems smoother though out the rpm ranges Now is normal for the coating on the headers to peal of after two days????

i think the pacesetter ones coating peel of I don't know if it's after two days though.

I've heard that too. I have the blue pacesetters, which is also the most expensive header pacesetter offers, and it has not peeled.

Its not faded, its just dust on it. I've been running it for almost 2 years now.

Overall the car sounds great but I wouldn't attribute it to only the header. The header is followed by a high flow cat then megan racing 2.5 catback.

Remove header, sand off the rest of that stuff then buy some high temp. engine spray paint of your choice. Spray it down and hope it holds.

I ordered them from fr motor sports. They had just recieved a shippment of them from the pace setter factory. I never had a problem with anything from there.... They called pace setter and they basically said I was sol. Great customer sevice over there at pace setter....

Anyone know a place in maryland where i can get a ceramic coating or any type of high temp coating???

try autozone they have 3500 F ceramic coating paint that might be your best bet i have never been to maryland but we have it in alabama so you mite have it there

How ceramic spray hold up??? Anyone used this before??

they last for about 5 minutes why dont you get some header temp wrap and wrap it till it goes under the car it will give you the race car look and cuts down on under hood temp.

DEI makes a black or white silicone spray thats good to 1500d. I used it on my manifold, and TURBINE HOUSING (couldnt believe spray paint held up on that..) and its held up for 500 miles and still looks great. If this 8 dollar a bottle paint can hold up to the temps of a turbo manifold + turbine housing, it will work for headers.
