I currently have 31,500 on my 2007 Z. I have a weird clicking sound when I depress my clutch, the sounds start when you are realeasing the clutch. I also at time find it hard to get my car in to gear. My clutch pedal has been engaging really high and sometimes feels weak. I have a schedule next week with Nissan so they can tear my transmission down so they can diagnose it properly. After the initial test drive they say it sounds like your clutch is going.....and I asked the tech if it could be something else, and he said it might be the slave cylinder. My question is if I have a bad slave cylinder can they warranty a burnt clutch? I am asking because sometimes due to the clutch I get stuck in half gear and end up burning my clutch. And I already took my car in for the transmission recall.

your thoughts are much appreciated, I don't want to pay $2k for a clutch just yet.

LOL....I hope you were serious, $9 bucks. per answer. I have mechanic friends, just wanted to see if people had similar problems with their Z. The Zi s going to the dealer on Wednesday, if they tell me it's my clutch I will take it to another dealership for a second opinion. After then if they still say it's the clutch, then I have no choice but to upgrade the clutch. At least the second dealer is willing to install after market parts.

The tech that test drove my car also told me that I have to change the flywheel when I get my clutch replaced. Is that true?

Save you some money if you go with the JWT setup. This is where I got mine from and it was the cheapest I could find at the time, purchased as 1 package instead of two seperate.
