I have owned my Versa (manual transmission base model 2009) for 4 days. As I was driving to work I heard a snapping sound from the dashboard, but nothing else happened. When I went to start the car to come home the starter did not engage. I noticed a black piece of plastic on the floor, and found a switch hanging near the clutch. I pushed in on the switch while turning the key, and it started right up.

Is this problem unique to me? Am I so strong I can break this thing?

Well I guess they must have installed it wrong or the part must a have had a problem.

Just go back to the dealer!

Cause I certainly don't have to crawl under the clutch to start the car.
