I have a 98 Frontier, 4wd, and I am replacing the clutch, the truck also needs new torsion bars, so while I am doing the clutch, I am trying to replace them, the problem is that I am unable to remove the torsion bar from the brackets that they sit in, due to excessive rust. I have removed the torsion bars and cross member as one piece. Has anyone had this problem, and does anyone know where I might find replacements if I am unable to get them removed?
Also if anyone has replaced their clutch, is there anything I ought to know, before I'm up to my elbows in it.
And one more thing, after draining the transmission, the fluid has a very red tint to it and has that awful cat pee smell of ATF, If someone has put ATF in my manual that should take gear oil (I have been informed that some manual transmissions use ATF) will it destroy my transmission? :gotme

The new clutch is in, now I'm working on the torsion bars. I found two places that I can find new torsion bars; Calmini, and Sway Away. does anyone know of any others.
