ok i just finished everything on my swap. started first crank then we double check everything go to put it in gear for the test drive.......... i dont need to push the pedel to put it in gear, SO we drop the trans remove the clutch, fried three puckso i have a KA24de clutch and disc, installed the ka clutch disc but not the pressure plate from the ka. i used the ca plate and ka disc. now the pressure plate will not fully disengage the disk from the flywheel. We have already made sure the slave cylinder is fully actuating and we bled it to make sure. Keep in mind the pressure plate we used was the old one that was bolted to the toasted three-puck. we figure that either the clutch disc is to thick or the old pressure plate has a worn spring or prong causing it to disengage only one side of the disk. I was just wondering if anyone had come across this before because i was under the impression this would work fine. the disc lined up perfectly, the old plate looked fine with just slight wear on the prongs. Ill be droping the trans again tomorow and i wont be able to order a genuine clutch. Pressed for time doing it at a shop.
