Car Info 1995 240sxSR20DETstock 5 spd

Symptoms When engine is on, with clutch pressed, Shifter will not move into ANY gear. When engine is off, the shifter will move freely to any gear. If I pull hard enough, I can get into 2nd gear. No grinding occurs. Car moves normally in 2nd, and will stall if i release the clutch at idle.

My other observations Everywhere i've searched and asked, suggested that i make sure the slave cylinder is actuating the clutch fork. I checked and it moves fine. Master cylinder seems fine and fluid is full.

Any suggestions? I'm really broke at the moment, otherwise i'd just have it towed to a shop.

i had the same exact problem with my miata. I ended up bleeding the system and it has worked great for 3 thousand miles or so.

forgot to add, check ur master cylinder and look for fluid movement. If there isn't then ur master cylinder isn't working. The fluid should bubble up a little when the clutch is depressed.
