Hey all.

So I was driving along, and suddenly the pedal feels like it's not fully returning. Keep driving and it gets worse. On my way home, I shift it into first, barely. Move from the light, go to shift into second, and there's zero pressure in the clutch at all. So I clutchless shift it into 4th gear, run 3 red lights (at 2:30am) and 2 stop signs to avoid stopping the car. It's a good thing I was close to home. So now it sits in my driveway and it's the middle of the night and raining like mad, so I haven't checked for puddles or anything yet, but I'm assuming the lack of clutch pressure would be caused by a leak in the line somewhere? I need to get this thing going again ASAP. Anything else I should be looking for?

Thanks.

cliffnotes: clutch pedal has no pressure and does nothing. help?

Could be the slave cylinder? Check that, but yah follow the lines from the Master Cylinder. The MC could also be bad, if thats leaking it usually drips on the frame rail so check for fluid.

Definitely the slave Cylinder. I saw a rip in the rubber boot for sure where it was coming from, but I'm sure it goes deeper than that. What do you guys think?

Fun day...

Replace the slave and you'll be good. Make sure to bleed it properly. Also, bypass the clutch damper box or you'll never get it bled correctly. Take a look in our tech articles for the how-to that I did for it.

Got the new slave. Hopefully I can get the lines off the damper this time, tried before and with a 5 sided wrench it went round. Gotta love rust.
