i got a deal on a 350z transmission that was on a z32tt that got totalled and it also came with performance clutch kit and stillen flywheel. i have decided (unless u guys change my mind) to stay with my 5speed but i was wondering if the clutch kit and flywheel would work on my z32. Or just convert my 5speed to 6speed. Need you guys input  asap.

come on guys im going to do this by 04/29 or 30 when i get home. should i do a full 6speed transmission swap or just a clutch and flywheel to see if it works or just forget about the whole thing and continue looking for a vg30de block to start my motor build? i already called z1 and got mixed answers... 1. said if i go six is should put a q45 diff.... 2. it does not really make sense to do a six swap because of gear ratios and some gear issues, i know about the synchro issues but that doesn't bother me. As said earlier, the guys i got the transmission from said they took it out of a heavily modded 300zx-tt that got totalled. They also work on foxbody mustangs out of Brandon, MS so it has little or no importance to them plus it took them over 2 weeks to finally sided if it was a 350z transmission because of what it was in by a nissan dealership tech looking at it.

please lmk. thanks

I'm not getting why your doing this but as far as i know the stock Z32 5-spd is good to like 700 or 800 whp so there is really no need unless you just want to be cool with an extra gear, and having only 5 gears means less shifting, means less dropoffs in the powerband if your turboed

you got a z33 trans that was in a z33 and want to know if the clutch from it will work with the z32 trans?...... I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the cluthc splining is the same since all 70-96 Z car's are the same as well as pretty much all other nissan clutches in that period, but I'd also bet the the flywheel is gonna be different, so if you intend to get rid fo the z33 trans thats been adapted to a z32 whoever you sell it to would most likely need the custome flywheel, adapter plate, driveshaft, etc

and are you really sure thsi is in fact a z33 trans taht was in fact modified to fit the vg? I'd say stay away fomr it unless you can see the whole car or at the very least the whole drivetrain taht it was connected to

and your R200 is plenty stroun to hold all the power that you can throw at it, these things are pretty much buullitproof
