I have cloth seats and love them. IMO, they are more comfortable than leather, especially when it's really hot. I think the cloth blond seats look better than the leather blond seats.

My decision was definitely not based on price, the fact that my preference was less expensive was a benefit, as was my choice of stick shift over CVT.

I love Leather Seats.

This is my third car and after having them on my last car I don't think I can go back to Cloth.

Driving a rental was the worst, the Cloth felt digusting/soiled.

this was my first car with leather and i'm not sure if i'll ever go back to cloth in the future. It feels nice. The only gripe I have is that the my driver's seat is already getting a bit wrinkled and I've only had my car for a month and a half.

I disagree - the tech package is def worth it (i only paid 1700 for it... :-p). The backup camera integrated into the system is hot, and I have yet to see any aftermarket GPS system work in NYC or in a tunnel - the GPS in the tech package does

I would have to agree. Going to the javitts center beginning of this year for the NYC car show, the GPS worked going thru the tunnel. later that month went back to NYC to visit friends and used my wife's Acura TLS w/ her Garmin 650 and it lost the signal..

i just drove my gf's '09 accord sedan EX... and i felt disgusting sitting in that leather. me + leather + 92 degree san diego weather = a very unhappy tye. then again i couldv'e just turned on the air conditioning..
Infantry1327 wrote:I live in Cali and had my car over the summer and I never got swamp a$$. Plus in the mornings it can get down in the 50's so the heated leather feals really nice.
true, it does get pretty cold here sometimes... but for me, it's never been so cold that i would feel that i need heated leather seats. i'm happy with how fast the altima's heater warms up the cabin

HEY!!! I got the auto-dimming rearview, but WITHOUT compass...Dammit!

I did get the tech package though and the nav. has a compass, so there's that but....what if I don't have the nav system on and I need to know which direction I'm going?!?!?!?!?! Do you not get a compass on your rearview if you have the tech package?
you do not get the compass in the mirror if you have navigation. you could always switch it out for a couple hundred bucks though... but i'm sure we would both agree that would be a waste =)

Sorry I didn't see this post for a long time, kinda forgot about it. I'll take pics when I get home. It's definately worth the $500 for the eBay kit, but if I were to do it again, I would spend $1k on the katzkin 2 tone kits, very sexy. The kits include everything you need, except I don't see how it's possible to change cloth on the door since it's hotglued onto the door panels. I think you would have to buy new plastic panels to mount the leather onto, and then replace it with the cloth ones. The only mods I've done to my car so far are HID lights(worth it), DVD deck(worth it), Leather seats(definately worth it), and audi daytime running lights(meh)

Is that a Canadian thing? My coupe only has the convenience package.

I've had leather since my first car. 94 300ZX TT, 98 Jetta VR6 SC/Turbo, 05 Frontier and my A/C. I refuse to go over to cloth. It's easier to clean and gives cars more of a luxury/sporty feel. Many people here in SOCAL hate it. Why? Because it's HOT when its hot out or COLD when its cold out. If its hot open the windows before you get in the car then turn of the A/C. If its to cold wear longer shirts and pants so it doesn't touch your body when you get in the car... Then turn the heater on (and of course the seat heaters) . That's my input.

Ya I guess it's a Canadian thing because white was my first choice, then they told me I had to get the Premium Package to get that color, hence why mine is silver. Leather has its ups and downs. I just personally don't like it when leather fades and cracks... that was the problem with my last car, 97 Maxima SE. Other than that I love leather, and don't mind the hot / cold issues with it.

Even if it did run you close to 3k (which I doubt it would) at least it would be a personal aftermarket taste not a stock setup like most others would have

yeah.....it is the canadian thingy....quite stupid IMO.....thinking about buying the car in different color and then repaint the whole car......but that would be very expensive.....

Mine's loaded I have every option but the Moon Roof defelector (thank god)...but even with using leather conditioner I has break-in wrinkles after 1 year, same with the 350Z. It's hard to avoid.
