ok people for some reason my rear defroster does not work...when i hit the button i hear nothing....and the light does not come on...any ideas?

oh and everything else works...on the climate control that is...

Have you had tint taken off? if not check the connection for the rear defroster wires. Test to see if there getting voltage. The reason i asked about tink is because when i had mine taken off most of the elements for the rear defroster got damaged and only a few work.

Do you hear a click from the relay?

If not then it could be it.

wheres that particular relay located...and nope i never had tint on this J

anyone know where either the fuse or relay is that controls the rear defroster????I NEED to know this because for the 1st time in almost 5 years its snowed here in houston and i cant see out my back windshield while im driving...

Not to sure but the fuse may be under the dash. Do you have the FSM?

fuse is not under dash alreayd checked twice im gonna go through the FSM 2nite though

read through FSM...still clueless...checked both fuses under the hood...both are good...im completely stumped....any ideas....every other button on the climate control turns the blower on...is it possible somethings wrong with the button...or what....maybe lose ground on the rear defrost...i have no idea...someone please help

So the light does not turn on at all when you press it? It could be the module itself. If i were i would would take out the module and see if u can find the wire that goes to the back of the car for the defroster. The back of the FSM has a wiring diagram of everywire in the car and what color.. etc it is.

I am not sure where the relay is located, but thats is the most logical cause. Unless you have a tear in the lines on the back window.

the FSM i downloaded doesnt have the wiring diagram which sux...and by module do mean the entire climate controller thing?or just the button?

Yeah it could be the whole climate control box, does the light on the button illuminate when you press on it
