Hi my name is Matt, I recently purchased a 94 300zx convertible. Whenever I push the clutch in it makes this clicking noise, could this be the throw out bearing?

Welcome Matt!
My guess would be the clutch start interlock that keeps the car from starting in gear is sticking, or perhaps corroded enough to make noise when you operate the pedal. This is a switch on the clutch pedal that keeps the engine from starting with the transmission gears engaged until the clutch is fully depressed. The throwout bearing would usually present more of a grinding or rubbing sound when releasing the clutch while shifting to move the car (driving).

Thank you for the response! For some reason just today it suddenly went away, which is a little weird. But if it comes back I will definitely look more into the information you gave me!

Good news on the "fix", but as you suggest it may return.
One of the things to keep in mind is the complexity of these cars combined with their age, when they sit for extended periods things start to "fade" if you will, even when garaged- mine will often not show time on the clock for a day or two, the clutch canister loses vacuum, and the dome/dash lights will sometimes be dim for a little while until I drive around a bit. All corrosion related stuff I'm sure, the car does always have a way of reminding the owner of it's weakness...
