I decided that it would probably be a good idea to clean my injectors.I would prefer to do it myself to save money, but I have never done this before.

Any recommendations about this? I've heard that gas tank additives are pretty much a waste of money. I looked at the FSM and removing the injectors doesn't look too hard, but searching on the internet it looks like you need special equipment to do a good job cleaning them.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just use the additives. Should work pretty good.

If you can get your hands on an ultrasonic cleaner, that is the go, if you are going to leave them in then your only choice is a fuel additive.

Remember that you will need to replace the small injector filter as well if they are coming out of the vehicle... and the rubber orings

Hey man, nice to see another CA is Texas! I recomend you take them out either way. Clean up your fuel rail and replace your fuel lines while you are in there. They arent that hard to get out, it just takes time. Do a search on here for the the best way to do it. Remember to get new o-rings for them too.
