Cigarette lighter issues?

HI everyone,

My 08 versa's cigarette lighter doesnt work well with my gps connector. When the gps is pluged in and turned on, any slight movement or bump to the connector will turn the gps off. And for it to work again I would have to take it out and put it back in or jiggle it until the gps is on again. Using the same GPS on a toyota or honda, theres no problem with the connector. I only see this on the versa and when plugged in, there can be alot of movement to the connector (degrees of freedom is higher) To me the connector doesnt seem to be properly seated with the lighter. (but i have pushed it in as much as i could)

Do any of you experience similar problem with the cigarette lighter on your versas?

I've only ever used mine for my cell phone charger and never noticed any problems. (The light stays solid.) Of course, the plug's bigger than my phone, so it may stay in better than yours just because it's so big!
