I am in the middle of doing a TT conversion. I'm at the point where i can FINIALLY start putting things back together again. The problem that im running into is the chrome hardpipe kit. The silicone couplers wont fit on the factory piping. The pipe in talking about is coming out from underneath the headlight coming off of the intake. Now on the NA engine, that pipe would lead to the throttle body. Now that it's a TT, that pipe would lead to the turbo. Now my question is: Do i need to get rid of that pipe and go with a Turbo specific pipe?? Any input will help--Thanks

The pipes should be the same in diameter, IIRC the only difference is that the NA pipes have a larger secondary fitting which on the NA is used for overflow or somehting like that and on the TT it is used to plumb the recirc valves back into the intake

You can't use NA hardpipes on a TT

I thought he was referring to the pipes running under the headlights not the hardpipes themselves.

As you can kinda see, the silicone coupler fits inside the OEM Pipe. Would it work if i bought couplers that fit?

The accordion hose goes there:

Accordion hose which goes to the turbo inlet

That hose above attaches to the hose on the inlet side of the turbo pictured below. It's the lower black pipe:

Part numbers are different for the left and right side.

Doesn't the chrome hardpipe replace the accordian pipe?
