Was washing my car today and found 3 small spots where the paint got chipped. Hardly use the car too and this damn thing happens. Probably got hit by some gravel while I was driving on the freeway. Just wondering if you guys know what I could use to fix these? Thanks.

Don't bother. Rock chips are a fact of life. If it really bothers you, get some touch up paint and fill in the chip. Its not going to look like it did before, but a color matched dot is better than a white/gray dot.

Are you serious?..Nissan uses water based paints for their cars? No wonder it chips easily. Luckily for my my new bumper is being painted with oil based paint and hopefully the clear coat will be a little more durable than the stock paint.

Read a lot of good reviews on the following touchup:

Yeah..There was a lot of discussion back when we all got our 02's as to why they chipped so easily..........That was the reason:(

I did some searching for you and found the post from one of our former moderators and owner of Active tuning...He was a paint expert..Some of you may remember him from .net

Altimat says////

"It is because of the water-borne paint. And no, it's not there because Nissan is cheap - it's because of EPA requirements. Any auto manufacturer in this country will only spray on enough to cover. Reclearing the entire car with a good (PPG, DuPont, Sikkens, BASF, etc.) acrylic urethane clearcoat will help a great deal. Next winter I'll probably do this to mine. Of course, I have 100 chips to feather out and the entire front end to repaint black first."

Yeah I'm just gonna go ahead and let the car collect the chips. When its bad enough, I'll have it repainted with the same paint that my bumpers are painted with.
